Silk Jacquard Fabric

Silk jacquard is a silk fabric with an intricate pattern woven into it. Such designs are produced on a mechanical loom named after the inventor Joseph-Marie Jacquard. Unlike jacquard patterns, prints are applied to the fabric after it is woven. Silk jacquards come in various textures and finishes. Basically, any silk fabric with a woven pattern is called jacquard. They are available both in tone-on-tone and contrast designs and are most suitable for lighter apparel.

Across such an extensive fabric selection, there are Italian jacquard fabrics with floral, circular, geometrical, animal, raised, check, tribal and many other designs for the most refined taste. Italian jacquard fabric is produced on the legendary mills of Ruffo Coli, Taroni, Carnet and Etro, all proudly working on valouring the selvage "Made in Italy" and deserving to be called the benchmarks in the world of fabrics.
