Men’s suiting fabric can be made of cotton, silk, linen and a blend of various fibers. But most commonly high-quality fabrics are made of worsted wool.

Worsted wool is woven from combed yarn, which results in its long-lasting nature and glossy finish. Worsteds are ranked Super 110’s – Super 250’s. The higher a Super Number, the thinner in diameter the fibers used. Most worsted fabrics range between 180 and 300 grams per meter. But there is a lot more to quality than the Super index number.
