Corded lace fabric is an elegant type of textured lace outlined with heavier threads or a soutache cord. Also known as Alencon lace, it has become increasingly popular in bridal and evening fashion. Layered over other fabrics such as silk satin or organza, it creates a splendid look.
This lace is basically sheer and lightweight, however, heavier options can be quite popular too. It is also loved for its expressive sheen and volume.
