Black and burgundy jacquard boucle fabric decorated with a houndstooth pattern. Jacquard is a type of cloth featuring an intricate pattern woven into the warp on a special mechanical loom, rather than printed. Boucle is an original fabric of plain weave with a loose structure and a characteristic nodular surface. With the apparent volume and bulkiness, the fabric is light and elastic. The unusual rough surface of the canvas is obtained as a result of the production technology.
Design – the pattern features a light grey houndstooth check pattern on the black and burgundy background.
Manufacturer – made in France by Dutel, a world’s leading jacquard fabric producer, operating since 1937. Their high craftsmanship and innovative techniques allow to achieve the highest quality. Brand is also well-known for exquisite picturesque motifs that give a classic impression to style. Dutel produces two collections consist of around 350 fabrics each in a year.
How does it feel – soft, completely opaque, silver metallic threads blended into the weave lend a gentle sheen.
Suitable for sewing of skirts, dresses, jackets.
Season to wear – this jacquard has an impressive density and multipurpose pattern, which makes it a versatile material for four-season wear. In spring and early summer, it will go well for a jacket, and in winter – for a warm skirt.
We recommend not to iron this jacquard fabric. It can only be steamed. It is advisable to hang the item on a hanger after wear, but not in the closet. You can shake off the dust with a brush. And if necessary, the material needs to be dry-cleaned.
