Black jacquard boucle fabric decorated with small round sequins in the tone of the background. Jacquard is a type of cloth featuring an intricate pattern woven into the warp on a special mechanical loom, rather than printed. Boucle is an original fabric of plain weave with a loose structure and a characteristic nodular surface.
Design — the pattern features small round sequins in the tone of the fabric. Any jacquard becomes stretchy when mixed with elastic fibers – spandex, lycra or elastane. This one contains an elastane. Stretch jacquard fabric has the same usage but is especially suitable for body-hugging and fitted styles.
Manufacturer — made in Italy by Ruffo Coli, a renowned company producing haute couture, prêt-a-porter, plain, and embroidery fabrics. It creates ultimate fashion designs on lace, tulle, jacquard, tweed, and silk, using beads, sequins, ruffles, ribbons, etc.
How does it feel — dense, completely opaque, has a slight sheen due to decor.
Suitable for sewing of skirts, dresses, jackets, evening wear.
Season to wear — this material has an impressive weight, which is often picked for cold season apparel, but you can also create a summer jacket.
This jacquard fabric is too delicate, with metallic sequins, so dry-cleaning is the best strategy to keep it safe. Do not wring this fabric. Instead, let it dry on a hanger or lay it flat on a table, away from direct sunlight. If you choose to press jacquard, it is recommended to do it from the wrong side not to damage the pattern.
