This plain woven cotton organdy features a pale pink color. Lightweight, stiff and sheer, it is often used as an underlining in gowns, dresses and skirts. Cotton organdy fabric is a very lightweight and sheer cloth with a stiff hand. It is woven with tightly twisted yarns in a plain weave. The name comes from Ourganda, the ancient area in Turkmenistan where the craft of organdy fabric creation is originated. Often confused with organza, it has similar properties and is often used for lining, as well as for various garments, such as dresses, gowns and blouses. Cotton organdy is produced either plain or printed. Yellow is one of the fashion color trends this year, spotted on the catwalks over and over again.
