Silk Chiffon Fabric

Silk chiffon is a plain woven fabric created from twisted crepe yarns. It is lightweight, extremely sheer, has a slightly bumpy texture and a soft hand. Chiffon resembles georgette in drape and feel, but is a touch lighter and more see-through. Silk chiffon fabrics are available both in solid colors and in prints. The prints are represented with floral, animal, abstract geometric, polka dot, paisley and other patterns. Silk chiffon is often used for elegant dresses and blouses, as well as skirts and other spring/summer clothing.

Silk chiffon is produced by such legendary French and Italian brands as Taroni, Ruffo Coli, Belinac, Carnet, Frontline, Etro and Jakob Schlaepfer, whose experienced silk designers create true masterpieces. The highest expertise in silk weaving and impeccable reputation among the leading fashion houses ensure perfect quality.

Silk Devore Fabric

Silk devore fabric is a silk fabric with original effects obtained by chemical treatment. The applied chemicals affect only viscose fibers and do not destroy the structure of silk fibers. Silk devore is renowned for its durability, resistance to sunlight and hypoallergenicity.

The devore effect looks chic. Exquisite satin or velvet patterns float on a matt or transparent background, adding volume to the cloth. Devore silks are perfectly appropriate for layered and tiered garments. Created by such famous European manufacturers as Etro, Jakob Schlaepfer and Bouton-Renaud, they are impeccable both in terms of quality and design.

Velvet Devore Fabrics

Velvet devore fabric is a eye-catching protein- and cellulose-based cloth, which visual effect is reached by applying a special gel on a back side that dissolves away the cellulose, leaving behind only protein-based fibres. The gel is applied in patterns in two ways: by either printing or hand painting. Developed in the end of the 19th century as a cheaper substitute to lace, devore fabric has gained a great popularity over the years, and is associated with the most opulent evening attires these days.

The most exquisite velvet devore comes from Carnet, Bouton-Renaud, Redaelli and Ostinelli - the destinguished French and Italian brands, regularly supplying prominent fashion houses.
